چکیده
The Pulang porphyry copper deposit (PCD), one of the main potential areas for resource exploration in China, exhibits typical alteration zoning. However, further investigation indicative significance minerals, additional insight into metallogenic characteristics, and prospecting guidelines continue to be challenging. In this study, ASTER WorldView-3 data were used map hydrothermal minerals by employing band ratios, principal component analysis, spectrum-area techniques; subsequently, indication was studied in-depth. following new insights structure spatial distribution zoning PCD obtained verified. (1) A NE trending normal fault, passing through northeast PCD, discovered. (2) Two mineralization centers, exhibiting characteristics potassic-silicified, phyllic, propylitic zones from inside outside, observed on both sides fault. (3) At junction redivided potassic-silicification phyllic zones, favorable delineated. This study shows that spectral/multi-sensor satellite are valuable cost-effective tools preliminary stages inaccessible remote around world.

Hydrothermal alteration mapping using ASTER data in Baogutu porphyry deposit, China
Remote sensing plays an important role in mineral exploration. One of its proven applications is extracting host-rock lithology and alteration zones that are related to porphyry copper deposits. An Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) was used to map the Baogutu porphyry deposit alteration area. A circular alteration mineral zoning pattern was clearly observed ...
متن کاملCalculation of Mass Transfer and Element Mobility During the Hydrothermal Alteration in the Sungun PORPHYRY Copper Deposit Iran
The Sungun porphyry copper deposit is located in northwestern Iran and is associated with diorite/granodiorite to quartz-monzonite of Miocene age, which intruded Eocene volcanosedimentary and Cretaceous carbonate rocks. Copper mineralization was accompanied by both potassic and phyllic alteration. Three main mineralization related alteration episodes (potassic, transition, and phyllic alteratio...

The purpose of mineral exploration is to find ore deposits. The main aim of this work is to use the fuzzy inference system to integrate the exploration layers including the geological, remote sensing, geochemical, and magnetic data. The studied area was the porphyry copper deposit of the Kahang area in the preliminary stage of exploration. Overlaying of rock units and tectonic layers were used ...
